>So much has happened since my last update. I sold my house, all my furniture, live with friends…… Wow, so much has happened! What a testimony of God’s faithfullness in my life. I put my house on the market in the worst possible months, December and January, and in the worst possible times looking at the economy and all the foreclosures. But I knew I heard God and so I did what He asked of me. I then started selling every piece of furniture I own. All furniture sold in one week for the amount I asked for. So I found myself sitting in an almost empty house, boxes all around, no word from Africa telling me I was accepted, and no buyer for my house.
My mind wanted me to doubt that I heard God but I had to declare the Word out of my mouth every single day and keep my focus on God and His promises for me. I made a choice not to waver and to stand firm in what I knew to be the truth. On February 21st I moved everything I had left into a small storage unit and moved in with friends and on February 23rd at 10:30 a.m. I signed the closing papers on my house. I still hadn’t heard from Africa. At 5:00 p.m. that same day I received the email from Africa congratulating me on my acceptance to their school! God waited until I did everything He asked me to do and THEN GOD!
I have learned so much about trusting Him and how major it is to always stay focused on Him, no matter what things look like, especially when nothing seems to be happening. He is still at work on my behalf. God never quits on us. I am learning to really deny myself and follow Him. That means denying doubt, denying fear, denying anxiousness.
I am now standing on Galations 2:7-8 “For they saw that I had been entrusted to carry the Gospel to the uncircumcised…… For He Who motivated and fitted Peter and worked effectively through him for the mission, He also motivates and fits me and works effectively through me for the mission.” Wow, what an adventure it is living for the One true God!
